Will Alisha Lehmann Leave Italy? Como Women’s Star Considering Future After Frightening Burglary

After a recent home invasion, Alisha Lehmann could consider a move away from Como and make a return to the Women’s Super League.

What Happened To Alisha Lehmann?

On November 17th, Alisha Lehmann revealed that her house near Lake Como had been burgled in a surprisingly light-hearted social media post.

Lehmann captioned the Instagram story with: “Next time people rob my house, can you clean up after, cause I’ve got OCD.”

Unfortunately, this is not the first time that Lehmann has seen her home in Italy be burgled, as the Swiss superstar’s residence in Turin was also the subject of a home invasion back in October 2024.

The Como women’s star was living with her former partner, Douglas Luiz at the time and the two were victims of a burglary that reportedly saw hundreds of thousands worth of jewelry be stolen.

This incident took place just three-months after her move to the Bianconere and the recent event occurred four-months into her spell with the Como women’s team.

Lehmann is not the only player that has been the victim of a burglary this season, as Chelsea star Raheem Sterling saw his house be infiltrated on November 8th.

This traumatic experience has reportedly pushed the Chelsea star into a January exit and Sterling has been linked with a move to Serie A next year.

Will Alisha Lehmann Leave Como?

Lehmann joined the Como women’s team in July 2025 after just one-season with Juventus, where the Swiss superstar won the Serie A Femminile – accumulating just 568 minutes throughout this season.

This lack of playing-time forced Lehmann into a move during the summer, joining Como for a reported €50,000 and signing a three-year deal with the Italian side.

During the 2025/26 season so far, the 26-year-old has made five appearances in Serie A Femminile, with three of these coming in the starting eleven and Lehmann is yet to register a goal or assist.

Signing the former WSL star comes with many factors, both on and off the pitch, as Lehmann is the most followed women’s soccer player on social media – amassing over 16 million followers on Instagram.

Although this is far lower than the biggest stars in the men’s game, like the potentially Serie A bound, Neymar Jr who has over 230m – Lehmann’s advertising power is still one of the biggest in soccer.

The Swiss international is supported by some huge companies like Prime Hydration and EA Sports, while also being the manager of ‘MVPs’ in the Baller League UK.

However, this recent incident could push Lehmann into an early departure next year and the 26-year-old could be heading back to the Women’s Super League.

Could Lehmann Return To WSL?

Alisha Lehmann began her soccer career in the United Kingdom with West Ham during the 2018/19 season, before going on to join Everton in 2020 and Aston Villa a year later.

During her time in the WSL, Lehmann made 108 appearances and contributed to 29 goals along the way (19G + 10A) before moving to Juventus in 2024.

Her move to Juventus came as part of a joint transfer with her then partner, Douglas Luiz and was not 100% down to the performances on the field – however the two have now split.

Douglas Luiz returned to the Premier League ahead of the 2025/26 season, joining Nottingham Forest and Lehmann could make a similar decision next year.

Lehmann has been linked with a return to Aston Villa after a successful spell, but the Villains women’s side currently sit eighth in the WSL with just 10-points from eight matches.

Lehmann’s deal in Como does not expire until 2028, meaning Como will be looking to recoup the €50,000 fee that was spent on the Swiss star in July.
