Matias Soulè says his immediate future lies with Juventus but he will make a decision with the club after this summer. The young talent has already been the subject of interest from the Premier League and recently turned down an offer from the Middle East, something he touched on in an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport (Via ilBianconero):
“When, somewhat surprisingly, I received this offer from Al-Ittihad, I immediately talked about it with my family, but I already knew in my head what to do: stay to save Frosinone.”
“The future? First of all I have to go back to Juve, then we will also see according to them. Atalanta are a strong team, we conceded five against them last time!”
“Teh summer? Before deciding I had watched the first leg win against Atalanta. I immediately saw that the way of playing could suit me. Then Enzo (Barrenechea) convinced me, telling me about this fantastic environment: the boys, the staff, the city…”
“Defending? At Frosinone I improved a lot in this, also thanks to the group that was created from day one: the city is small, it helps us to be together a lot. But that ‘click’ happened for me at Juve, before that it wasn’t natural for me to lower myself to defend”.
“Di Francesco leaves me free on the field, as you saw, we always try to play against anyone as he told me on the phone before coming, that’s also why I accepted”.
“Allegri? He taught me a lot. To occupy spaces, to play multiple roles. With him I’ve also played as a fifth, as a half-back, a sub or wide right in the 4-3-3. And he helped me a lot in the defensive phase.
“In order to make me train, my family took me everywhere, by bus, by bike… Even my older brother.”
“The Azzurri? Spalletti and I talked about it in person when he came to Frosinone. I was nervous, you know, at my age these are not everyday things. And he understood, he was really good”.
“Idols? Messi can’t be touched…As a child I liked El Kun Auguero. Then Hazard when he was at Chelsea”.
“Best moment of my career? The move to Juve and the first goal against Frosinone”.
“The future? Right now, saving Frosinone, winning the Champions League and then the World Cup”.
