Moise Kean Could Quit Serie A In January As European Giants Hold Talks With Italian International’s Agent

According to the latest Moise Kean transfer news, Barcelona have opened talks with the Fiorentina striker’s representatives.
Kean has endured a difficult campaign so far with I Viola rooted to the bottom of the table. The Azzurri international has scored just two Serie A goals with Paolo Vanoli’s side still winless in Italy’s elite.
Now, it appears the 25-year-old could be leaving the Artemio Franchi in the coming weeks. Kean signed for the Tuscans in 2024 and helped the club to seventh last season.

In November, it was reported that Fiorentina could sell Moise Kean. Despite his struggles this term, interest remains high in last season’s Capocannoniere runner-up.
One of his potential suitors comes in the form of Barcelona. The Spanish champions have already initiated talks with Kean’s entourage about a switch to the Nou Camp.
Although the discussions are in the early stages, Barca is also tracking Lautaro Martinez. However, the Inter Milan superstar is viewed more as a summer target.
From Kean’s perspective, he would be open to a move in January. That would give winless Fiorentina plenty of funds to revamp their roster.
Moise Kean Valuation
Even though a direct figure hasn’t been banded in public, it’s likely that Moise Kean would cost approximately €60-70million.
According to TransferMarkt, Kean has a valuation of €50m and his current deal expires in 2029. With that in mind, Barcelona believe they can manufacture a deal in that price range.
Failing that, a Christopher Nkunku and Robert Lewandowski swap deal has been discussed. However, Barca are prioritizing getting Kean on board as he is Hansi Flick’s No.1 choice.
The Spanish champions aren’t blessed with endless riches so any potential deal for Kean would need to see a number of departures first.
Moise Kean Fiorentina Stats And Accolades
If Moise Kean was to quit, Fiorentina have targeted Jeremie Boga as a potential replacement. However, the Ivorian has a long way to go to replicate the numbers Kean has put up for I Viola.
Since joining in the summer of 2024, the Azzurri star has scored 27 goals in 59 games across all competitions. He has also chipped in with six assists.
Not only that, Kean landed a number of individual accolades for his efforts in 2024-25. The former Juventus and PSG forward was named in the official Serie A Team of the Season and Team of the Year.
Kean was also named in The Athletic’s Serie A Team of the Season as well as Player of the Season. He also won the official Goal of the Month award in February 2025 and won Serie A Player of the Month for November 2024.
Barcelona believes he fits the club’s profile and has all the key attributes to succeed in Spain. Only time will tell if Kean can achieve said dream but the wheels are certainly in motion.
