When isolating results across the calendar year, Roma have earned more points than any other side in 2025.

Despite missing out on Champions League qualification and finish 13 points behind eventual champions Napoli last season, Roma collected more points in 2025 than anyone else in Serie A.

Gian Piero Gasperini’s arrival in the summer was one the key reasons why Roma could be a title challenger this season, and as we approach the halfway stage, they are just three points off the pace.

It has been a transformative appointment in the capital, and while Roma were expecting a far more fluid attacking system typical of Gasperini teams, their league-leading defense has conceded the fewest goals in Serie A.

Roma Top of Serie A’s 2025 Table

Roma’s resurgence under Claudio Ranieri was nothing short of miraculous last season. The 73-year-old came out of retirement, with Roma just one point above the relegation zone, and led them to the brink of Champions League qualification.

Roma amassed 49 points in last season’s portion of 2025, while their tally of 33 has seen them rack up 82 points across the year.

At an average of 2.2 points per-game, their steady improvement is clear to see.

Most Wins and Fewest Goals Conceded in 2025

While Napoli hold the crown for the fewest defeats, and Inter Milan continue to be the most fruitful in front of goal with 69 across 2025, Roma’s achievements stretch beyond topping the table.

Despite never reaching the summit, Roma have the most wins (26) of any side, while their defense has conceded the fewest goals with a staggeringly low 22.

For context, high-flying Sassuolo have already conceded more goals than Roma’s 2025 tally this season.
