Destiny Udogie Considers Serie A Return After Second Off-Field Incident
Inter Milan has been put on red alert.
Destiny Udogie is weighing up his options having fallen victim to a second off-field incident in recent months.
The Tottenham full-back had his Range Rover broken into during the weekend loss to West Ham. Udogie shared videos via his official Instagram page of the back windows smashed.
Udogie was also targeted in a shocking incident in September 2025. The Azzurri international was reportedly held up at gunpoint by a soccer agent.
These encounters are understood to have caused the player huge psychological damage having already endured an injury-hit campaign.
Will Destiny Udogie Return To Serie A?
After Destiny Udogie’s gun scare last year, the 23-year-old stated he wanted to put the distressing experience behind him. Something of which he endeavored to do.
Having had his car broken into, the former Hellas Verona and Udinese star is now seeking a return home. Whether he pushes for a move this month or waits for the summer remains to be seen.
Current employers Tottenham are happy for Udogie to quit. They understand his situation and head coach Thomas Frank won’t stand in his way if a suitable offer is received.
Frank’s own position is precarious which may still tempt Udogie into seeing if a change in management helps change his own mind. But the incidents suffered haven’t occurred directly to his employers.
Therefore, a return to Serie A is very likely at this stage.
Inter Milan Lead The Race
With Brazilian full-back Souza close to moving to Tottenham, Desting Udogie’s Spurs future was already in doubt despite the incidents he suffered off the pitch.
Inter Milan have targeted Udogie and believe they can strike a deal. Spurs will demand around €50million for the left-back so a summer bid is more feasible.
The likes of AC Milan, Napoli, Roma and Juventus are also keeping a close eye on Udogie’s situation. His valuation will prove a stumbling block but all interested parties believe a favorable agreement can be reached.
As it stands, it’s Inter who lead the way currently. Arsenal are tracking Federico Dimarco which creates a spot in Cristian Chivu’s starting XI. A position of which Udogie could naturally fill.
During his playing days, Chivu played as a left-back and helped the Nerazzurri to the treble in 2010. Something of which Udogie would love to achieve to help put his incidents in London behind him.
