Destiny Udogie could be on his way out of Tottenham Hotspur as the Premier League side close in on a January full-back signing.

Destiny Udogie Considers Tottenham Hotspur Exit

The Italian international’s position in North London has been called into question as Spurs are reportedly moments away from signing Brazilian full-back Souza.

Udogie has endured a torrid time with injuries during the 2025/26 campaign so far, missing seven Premier League matches with a hamstring issue and tallying 15 absences across all competitions.

However, Thomas Frank provided a positive update over Udogie and Dominic Solanke’s situation ahead of Tottenham’s FA Cup clash against Aston Villa on January 10th.

Frank said: “Yeah, both of them are trained. Both of them are getting closer, definitely. Destiny is a bit closer than Dom, obviously, because he’s only been out for five weeks-ish. So that’s, of course, less than six months. But both of them are positive and improving.”

Despite this return to training, Udogie has still been linked with a move away from North London and joins his fellow Spurs defender Radu Dragusin on the list of players attracting interest from Serie A.

Dragusin is being targeted by Roma and the Giallorossi have been quoted €15million for the Romanian, whereas Udogie will be nearer the €40m mark.

The Italian defender is unlikely to leave on a permanent deal in January, but Juventus are reportedly preparing a loan offer which could include a tempting buy-option.

The Bianconeri have been linked with Udogie for multiple transfer windows now and were close to signing the Italian during the summer transfer window.

A move failed to materialize, but Luciano Spalletti may move in for the Azzurri star as Juventus are willing to back their new manager after finally terminating Igor Tudor’s contract.

Juve currently sit fourth in Serie A after a strong run of form under Spalletti and the prospect of Champions League action could be key in Udogie’s decision.

Spurs are still in Europe’s elite competition, but performances in the Premier League have left the club in 14th – making qualification unlikely.

Udogie still has four-years remaining on his current deal and Juventus are unlikely to meet Spurs’ January price tag, but there could be strong negotiations over a loan deal if Spurs bring in Souza.
