Christian Pulisic has been given the green light to join up with AC Milan ahead of Monday’s trip to Torino.

The winger was initially told to stay at home after suffering from a fever over the weekend, with head coach Massimiliano Allegri understandably wary about infecting other members of his squad.
Milan will leapfrog Napoli at the top of the Serie A table with all three points and are expected to get the better of the struggling hosts, who are without a win in their last five top-flight fixtures.
However, Allegri delivered a downbeat assessment of Pulisic’s availability during his press conference on Sunday, revealing that the American international was a major doubt for the match.
“Pulisic had a fever last night. We’ll see tomorrow whether he’s available or not,” he said.
“We won’t take him with us if he’s going to infect everyone.”
But just hours before kick-off, multiple reports in Italy claimed that the 27-year-old’s fever had in fact cleared up, resulting in him being granted permission to link up with his team-mates in Turin.
It remains to be seen whether he is deemed fit enough to start or if he will be named on the bench instead.
Milan’s joint-top scorer in the league with five goals, Pulisic missed the victory against Lazio with a muscle issue. Meanwhile, he has yet to commit his future to the club, but talks over a new deal are ongoing.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek To Return For AC Milan
It has been confirmed that Allegri will be without Youssouf Fofana, leaving him with a headache in midfield.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Ruben Loftus-Cheek has been given the nod over Samuele Ricci and Ardon Jashari, with his manager hoping he will inject a much-needed physical presence into his side’s spine.
Speaking at the weekend, Allegri heaped praise on the former Chelsea man but believes there is more to come.
“Ruben must believe in his qualities,” said Allegri. “He has enormous physical power and needs to score more.”
Loftus-Cheek, who moved to Italy from Stamford Bridge in June 2023, is set to be joined in the centre of the park by Luka Modric and Adrien Rabiot, while Christopher Nkunku will likely dovetail with Rafael Leao up front.
Elsewhere, Santiago Gimenez and Zachary Athekame remain out, potentially leaving Milan’s bench threadbare.
