Roma Enter The Race For Inter Milan Midfielder Davide Frattesi

According to the latest Davide Frattesi transfer news, Roma have set their sights on the Inter Milan midfielder.
Frattesi has struggled for minutes at the San Siro this season and wants more game time with a potential spot in Italy’s World Cup squad up for grabs.
The 26-year-old star has only started one Serie A game in 2025-26 and hasn’t featured since the 2-0 win over Lazio on matchday 11.
Frattesi has been more prominent in the Champions League. However, his only starts came against rank outsiders Union SG and Karat Almaty.
Davide Frattesi Transfer News Reveals Roma Interest
Although Juventus’ interest in Davide Frattesi remains solid, it’s reported that Roma are the leading contenders to win the race for his signature.
Frattesi is almost certain to leave Inter Milan having fallen down Cristian Chivu’s pecking order. Juve are understood to have already opened talks with Frattesi’s agent.
Nonetheless, the Giallorossi would provide more opportunities on the pitch than the Old Lady. Something of which Frattesi is prioritizing when choosing his next club.
The Azzurri ace actually spent three years with Roma’s youth sides so knows the club very well. His Scudetto win with Inter in 2023-24 will also be a useful trait that head coach Gian Piero Gasperini wants to take advantage of.
Gasperini’s men may be in pole position to land Frattesi, but the likes of Tottenham, Necastle and Napoli are all keeping tabs on the 26-year-old.
How Much Would Davide Frattesi Cost?
Although Roma’s striker search in January is perhaps the main priority, setting finances aside for Davide Frattesi will also be vital. Especially as the Giallorossi are firmly in the title race.
Inter Milan will be happy to let Frattesi leave for approximately €30million. That is just shy of his estimated valuation on TransferMarkt.
It remains to be seen whether Gian Piero Gasperini would be happy to part with that figure on one player. Therefore, a loan deal with an option/obligation to buy in June is a more viable option.
That would allow Gasperini to put all of his January budget towards attacking players. With that said, Evan Ferguson’s Roma revival can ease the pressure on a gung-ho approach in the transfer market.
The likes of Joshua Zirkzee, Beto, Lorenzo Lucca and Fiorentina’s Albert Gudmundsson are all being considered.
