Diego Coppola is now on course to join a new club amid links with Serie A duo AC Milan and Fiorentina.

However, neither the Rossoneri nor the Viola will be getting their hands on the Italian defender.

Speculation linking Coppola and Paris FC has been strong in recent days, and now the deal is reportedly done.

Diego Coppola heading to Paris FC despite interest from AC Milan and Fiorentina

Diego Coppola is set to complete a move to Ligue 1 side Paris FC, despite recent interest from AC Milan and Fiorentina.

The 22-year-old Italian centre-back joined Brighton & Hove Albion from Hellas Verona last summer on a permanent deal.

However, his Premier League spell has not gone to plan, with just 542 minutes under his belt all season.

Coppola has managed only nine appearances this season for Brighton, leaving him on the fringes under Fabian Hurzeler.

Milan wanted Coppola as they sought to revamp their back line in pursuit of the Scudetto.

Likewise, Coppola was interesting Fiorentina, who are still fighting Serie A relegation.

However, Paris FC moved quickly, and Coppola is expected to undergo a medical after being cleared to travel.

“Paris FC agree deal to sign Diego Coppola on loan from Brighton,” Fabrizio Romano confirmed on X. “Here we go!

“The Italian centre-back has been authorized to travel today by #BHAFC with Paris FC set to book medical.”

Other defensive targets on AC Milan or Fiorentina radar

Both AC Milan and Fiorentina have made defensive reinforcements a priority this month.

Several names have been discussed, but no deals have been completed so far.

Massimiliano Allegri’s side have been linked with Lecce’s Tiago Gabriel and Sassuolo centre-back Tarik Muharemovic.

Fiorentina, meanwhile, have held talks with Radu Dragusin’s representatives.

However, the Tottenham defender could instead be heading to Roma.

Diogo Leite, Eric Dier and David Alaba are also being considered as alternative options.
