Emil Holm Napoli scenario opens late in the window

Emil Holm might be leaving Bologna in the final days of the transfer window in order to join Napoli.

The Swedish right-back, born in 2000, isn’t seen as a must-have player anymore after a few performances that weren’t up to par, according to coach Vincenzo Italiano.

Napoli, a club looking to strengthen that area of the field, could take advantage of this situation.

“Could someone arrive in the last days of the transfer window? We’ve always said that we’re doing things the hard way because of the restrictions on us. So, for now, we’ve only done one thing, but we’ll try to do something else to improve the squad,” said Giovanni Manna, the Neapolitans’ sporting director, last night.

Bologna right back transfer targets if Holm leaves

But who would Bologna go for if Holm left? Since Nadir Zortea is the only right-back on the team, the Emilia-based club would need to sign another one.

For this reason, several players have emerged as targets this morning.

These include Zappa of Cagliari, Zappacosta of Atalanta, Marcus Holmgren Pedersen of Torino, and Jackson Tchatchoua, formerly of Verona and now at Wolverhampton.

But recently, there’s another option that could lead directly to Juventus: Joao Mario.

He joined in the summer from Porto, but since Luciano Spalletti arrived, he’s basically been relegated to the bench.

Juventus and Genoa deals could shape Bologna move

If Juventus manages to sign Brooke Norton-Cuffy in the last days of the winter transfer window, Genoa wants to sell him no earlier than next summer.

So, the Ligurian club’s take on the English full-back is pretty significant right now, probably around €20 million.

But the idea of a super expensive loan with the option to buy, to get that valuation, might change.

Genoa’s got their eye on Lilian Raolisoa, a right-back from Angers who was born in 2000.

They’ve already made an offer — it’s a loan with the option to buy. But the French club has reportedly turned down the first offer.

The Ligurian club is very interested in the French full-back, who has made 99 appearances and scored three goals for the Bianconeri, and could therefore make a new offer soon, which would raise the stakes.

Raolisoa might be the one to replace Brooke Norton-Cuffy at Lanterna, since she’s got a lot of interest from teams like Juventus, Everton, and Inter.
