Fiorentina Jagiellonia Conference League Dates Set

Fiorentina are heading East.

The Viola will face Jagiellonia Białystok in the UEFA Conference League play-offs, with the first leg scheduled for 19 February in Poland and the return leg on 26 February at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.

The Polish club has become a big name in European competitions recently, with some great results, even at home where it always fights for the title and won its first national title in 2024.

Who Are Jagiellonia Białystok

Jagiellonia was founded in 1920 and is based in Białystok, which is in north-eastern Poland.

It has become one of the leading teams in top Polish division. It might not have the same history as some of the other big European clubs, but it’s definitely made a name for itself in the league.

In 2024, they won their first ever national title, which was a big moment for the team.

This was also a sign that the Polish project was growing, especially since the team did well in the Conference last year. They came ninth in the group stage and only lost in the quarter-finals against Betis.

Pululu the Main Threat for Fiorentina

The team coached by 34-year-old Adrian Siemieniecal is currently in third place, one point behind Wisla Plock and Górnik Zabrze.

Jagiellonia has one game in hand though, so they could potentially take the lead. They’ve got the fourth-best attack and defence in the competition.

The club launched various talents, including Polish football legend Ebi Smolarek and former Fiorentina player Dragowski, a goalkeeper who grew up at Jagiellonia and Fiorentina signed in 2016, where he played until 2022.

Today, the number one danger Paolo Vanoli and his team will have to watch out for is Pululu. Born in Congo in 1999, the centre forward has scored 13 goals in all competitions so far. Last season, he won the Conference top scorer title with eight goals.
