Yanis Massolin, a midfielder often likened to Adrien Rabiot, has emerged as a transfer target for Inter, Fiorentina, Bologna and Udinese.

The 23-year-old Frenchman has impressed for Serie B side Modena since arriving from Belgium last summer.

His consistent performances have sparked growing interest, with several Serie A clubs monitoring him closely during the winter transfer window.

Inter are among the latest in pursuit, according to Calciomercato, though Fiorentina, Bologna and Udinese are also in the picture.

Yanis Massolin: Why Inter are keen alongside Fiorentina, Bologna and Udinese

Yanis Massolin has made a strong impact in Italy’s second tier, earning attention from top-flight clubs including Inter.

He began his career as a second striker, but has gradually evolved into a versatile midfielder capable of covering multiple roles.

Standing at 6ft 3in, Massolin is physically imposing, yet he also shows strong technical ability in possession.

Because of his build, playing style and mentality, he has frequently been compared to France international Adrien Rabiot.

Since joining Modena, Massolin has focused on improving both tactically and physically.

He has added muscle to his frame, helping him cope with the demands and intensity of Italian football.

Inter have been searching for midfield reinforcements since last summer.

After failing to sign Manu Kone from Roma, they moved to secure Andy Diouf from Lens.

That move has not ruled out further additions, with Massolin seen as a profile that could add energy and balance to the Nerazzurri midfield.

Inter are also fighting to fend off interest in Pio Esposito from Arsenal this month.

Yanis Massolin: the likelihood of a January move

Yanis Massolin is one of Modena’s most valuable assets, making a January transfer difficult to complete.

According to Sky Sport, Modena value him at around €8m, a fee within reach of several Serie A clubs.

Despite that, the club are reluctant to sell mid-season and would prefer to revisit talks in the summer.

Inter, Fiorentina, Bologna and Udinese are not alone in tracking his progress.

AC Milan and Juventus previously explored moves for him at youth level, while Lazio have also been credited with interest.

Interest has also come from abroad, with PSV Eindhoven and Villarreal both reported to be watching closely.

For now, Modena hold the upper hand, but Massolin’s rise suggests a move to the top flight may only be a matter of time.
