Juventus Prepare Deadline Day Approach For Bundesliga Star After Kenan Yildiz Injury
Kenan Yildiz's latest injury concern has left Juventus with a decision to make on deadline day.
Juventus are considering a deadline day move for Carney Chukwuemeka as Kenan Yildiz faces a spell on the sidelines through injury.
Kenan Yildiz Injury Update
The Turkish star was forced off at half-time during Juventus’ 4-1 win over Parma on February 1st, as Yildiz appeared to be struggling with some muscular discomfort.
Juventus have been relying on Yildiz’s star performances throughout the 2025/26 campaign, with the youngster contributing to 17 goals in 31 appearances across all competitions (9G + 8A).
The 20-year-old’s impressive form has seen Juventus rise into the top four in Serie A and losing their star man could have huge implications on the Bianconeri’s season.
Luciano Spalletti provided an update on Yildiz’s situation after the match, revealing that the Juventus medical staff confirmed that the Turkish international suffered a minor issue.
Spalletti said: “He told me: ‘Let’s get to the end of the first half and then decide.’ We made the decision in the dressing room and took him off.
“As it cooled down, the discomfort increased slightly, although the medical staff told me it’s a very minor issue.”
The Bianconeri have brought in some competition for Yildiz during the January window, signing Jeremie Boga on loan for the rest of the season.
However, the Turkish star can be deployed just behind the striker and Juventus are reportedly looking for cover in the central attacking areas.
Juventus Consider Deadline Day Approach For Bundesliga Star
The Serie A side are monitoring Borussia Dortmund star Carney Chukwuemeka, as the Englishman has dropped out of the starting eleven in recent weeks.
After an impressive loan spell in the 2024/25 campaign, Chukwuemeka joined Dortmund for €20million in the summer and was expected to kickstart his career after a disappointing run with Chelsea.
However, the 22-year-old has made just six starts in Serie A, while featuring in the starting eleven on just one occasion in the Champions League group stages.
Borussia Dortmund are a big topic in Italy after the Serie A sides’ Ro16 opponents were revealed, as the German giants will face Atalanta across two-legs.
Chukwuemeka will be hoping to make more of an impact in the latter stages of the competition, but the English midfielder could be on his way out on deadline day.
Juventus are looking to bring the Dortmund star in on loan for the remainder of this season, but could face a difficult obstacle in negotiations.
The Bundesliga side want to keep a hold of Chukwuemeka, but will consider any loan move that includes a substantial buy-option for the summer transfer window.
