Marco Baroni Confirmed After Internal Talks

Torino have made their decision. Marco Baroni will stay on as head coach.

The Florentine manager, who’d just suffered his second defeat in a row against Atalanta, was on the brink of the sack. He might have been saved by the fact that he handled the starting line-up, with no one between Simeone, Che Adams and the brilliant Ilkhan.

But this morning, Gianluca Petrachi announced that he’d decided to bring a new philosophy to Torino, wanting to focus more on young players.

So, the Granata have turned down the advances from half of Serie B and a couple of Eredivisie clubs for Alieu Njie.

Youth Focus Changes Torino Transfer Strategy

Several teams have tried to sign Alieu Njie on loan. Torino don’t want to let him go, especially as Marco Baroni has been playing him more and more in recent games, which has given him confidence and played time.

This idea from above has been put into practice and has worked well, as shown by the goal scored last week at Verona and the solid performance on Saturday in Bergamo.

These are the moments that show what’s good, and they’re worth putting in the effort to keep up.

There are all sorts of teams in the league, from the big teams who are fighting for promotion to Serie A, to teams who focus on developing young players and teams who are trying to stay in the division, like Spezia and Sudtirol.

Nije is untouchable because he’s a key player for Torino today and, more than anything, for tomorrow.

Arthur Cabral Offer and Zapata Future

The Brazilian press has revealed that Torino has offered €10 million plus €2 million in bonuses for Arthur Cabral, who used to play for Fiorentina.

Botafogo’s management is happy with the offer. However, coach Anselmi, who the Bianconeri hired a few days ago, will make the final decision.

Now that Cabral’s here, there’s a chance Duvan Zapata might be heading out the door. Cagliari and Genoa are keen on him.
