According to the latest Torino transfer news, the Serie A side has entered into negotiations for Callum Olusesi.

The talented Tottenham midfielder has continued to impress for Spurs Under 18’s and Il Toro are confident of striking a loan deal this month.

Olusesi has just one senior appearance under his belt and was recently named on the bench for the goalless draw with Brentford.

However, Marco Baroni believes the 18-year-old can come into his roster and make a strong contribution over the second-half of the season.

Torino Transfer News Reveals Callum Olusesi Interest

As reported by Alfredo Pedulla, Kristjan Asllani will quit Torino in the coming days after a disappointing loan spell. Hence the need for a swift replacement.

Parma and Sassuolo are interested in the Inter Milan midfielder and Pedulla confirmed that Il Toro has already opened talks with Tottenham for Callum Olusesi.

The London-born youngster is highly-regarded by Spurs but they are willing to let him leave on a temporary basis. Negotiations are in the preliminary stage and are understood to be going smoothly.

Torino are keen to insert an option to buy clause into any potential deal. However, it’s not known at this stage whether the Europa League winners will oblige.

In fact, Thomas Frank’s side may suggest a buyback clause as a way of protection – similar to what Real Madrid did with Como’s Nico Paz.

If Olusesi were to shine like the Argentine has, the Londoners have first dibs to re-sign the midfielder in the future.

Who Is Callum Olusesi?

Born in Lambeth in 2007, Callum Olusesi is regarded as one of the brightest youth prospects in European soccer. Olusesi has already featured for England’s U16-U19 teams scoring four goals.

More interestingly, he was part of the Tottenham U17 and U18 Premier League Cup double-winning sides. Even coach and legendary midfielder Yaya Toure stressed that Olusesi could reach the very top.

This season alone, he has scored three times and provided three assists in the UEFA Youth League. Olusesi is the current club captain for the U18’s.

His only senior appearance came 12 months ago in the Europa League. Olusesi came on as a second-half substitute in the away clash against Hoffenheim.

Although Spurs know they have an impressive talent on their hands, Torino is ready to give him regular first-team action. A move to the Olympic Stadium could provide the perfect spark for Olusesi to shine in Italy’s elite.
