Race Hots Up For Marco Brescianini With Three Serie A Sides Keen On Atalanta Midfielder
The Azzurri international is close to a New Balance Arena exit.
Marco Brescianini is at the center of a transfer scramble with three Serie A sides all interested in the Atalanta midfielder.
Brescianini has struggled to nail down a regular spot in La Dea’s starting XI this season. The Azzurri international has just 207 minutes of game time to his name and has made just one league start.
That has led to the 25-year-old to consider his future in Bergamo and he isn’t short of potential suitors. Raffaele Palladino is happy to let Brescianini leave this month and will consider all suitable bids.
Marco Brescianini Transfer News
With Inter Milan pursuing Ederson, Atalanta could be dealt another midfield blow by losing Marco Brescianini in January.
Although the former is tipped for a summer exit, Brescianini’s likely departure will heighten the need for reinforcements as soon as possible.
Interest in the Azzurri international is certainly plentiful. Cagliari, Genoa and Fiorentina are all set to bid for Brescianini this month.
He only cost €10million from Frosinone and Raffaele Palladino will accept offers of around the same figure. That fee fits well into the budgets of the chasing trio.
Bournemouth Keen On Marco Brescianini
It’s not just top-flight Italian sides who are interested in Marco Brescianini this winter. English Premier League outfit Bournemouth are set to throw their name into the mix.
The Cherries certainly reaped the rewards when they signed Dean Huijsen from Juventus in 2024. After just one season at the Vitality Stadium, the Spaniard was sold to Real Madrid for €59.9m.
Head coach Andoni Iraola has also taken AC Milan’s Alex Jimenez on loan who continues to improve on the South Coast. Therefore, Marco Brescianini could be tempted to try his luck in England.
Although Iraola’s side is struggling somewhat in 2025-26, Brescianini’s competitiveness in the middle of the park could prove the solution to succeed in the second-half of the season.
Who Could Atalanta Sign As A Replacement?
Alongside Marco Brescianini, Cagliari loanee Marco Palestra could also quit Atalanta this month. Their potential sales will give Raffaele Palladino sufficient funds to replenish his midfield.
The likes of Guido Rodriguez, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Manuel Ugarte and Andrey Santos have all been discussed in recent weeks. So has Kobbie Mainoo but he may stay in England owing to Ruben Amorim’s Man United dismissal.
FC Koln wonderkid Alessandro Puzzo is also an option. The 18-year-old’s contract is up in the summer so a deal this month could potentially be agreed.
