Marcos Senesi Is Being Tipped For Serie A Move, Would He Succeed In Italy?

According to the latest Marcos Senesi transfer news, AC Milan are considering a summer swoop for the Bournemouth star.

Max Allegri is understood to be a keen admirer of Marcos Senesi. The 28-year-old has shone for current employers Bournemouth this season.

Only three players have more clean sheets in England’s elite soccer division than Senesi in 2025-26. Furthermore, the Argentine – who holds an Italian passport – has chipped in with two assists.

His form hasn’t gone unnoticed and Milan are keeping tabs on his contract situation. His current deal runs out next summer and the Cherries are concerned they may lose him for nothing. Even though they are flying high in 4th spot.

Would Marcos Senesi Succeed At AC Milan?

Although Marcos Senesi has never played in Serie A, his style of play is well suited to Italy’s elite soccer division. Cool, calm and composed on the ball, Senesi is also a greater reader of the game.

Not only that, his versatility across the defence is a huge advantage. Milan head coach Max Allegri typically adopts a back three but can sometimes set up with four defenders.

Senesi is happy to play in either line-up and his leadership qualities make him a fine suitor to join Allegri’s San Siro revolution.

However, Allegri appears to have a settled defensive trio of Fikayo Tomori, Matteo Gabbia and Strahinja Pavlovic. Nonetheless, someone of Senesi’s pedigree would be a fine and welcome addition who would provide healthy competition at worst.

Not only that, Senesi has regular featured against some of the world’s finest attackers. He is more than capable of going toe-to-toe against such players.

This season alone, the Argentine has carved out a fine reputation for a no-nonsense, tough-tackling defender and he would be perfectly suited to Milan. If he moved to Italy on a free, that would be a very smart and envious move from the Rossoneri’s perspective.
