Napoli Draw Crisis Slows Momentum
There’s an issue at Napoli. The current champions are struggling to win. Three draws in a row have put a bit of a damper on Antonio Conte’s team’s chances of winning the Scudetto, especially with Inter’s win against Lecce.
Drawitis: it’s a sneaky disease. Sometimes it seems to lift you up, like against Inter, and then four days earlier (against Verona) or three days later (against Parma) it knocks you down hard.
Napoli just can’t seem to win, with only three points in the last 270 minutes, which has dampened the understandable euphoria that had built up with the 2-2 draw at San Siro.
There’s a feeling that it needs a bit of motivation, maybe even some adrenaline, and that it leaves the stadium feeling bitter while Parma enjoys its 0-0 draw, which keeps it in the standings and keeps the danger zone at bay.

Conte Rotates but Parma Hold Firm
Antonio Conte, who’s serving a two-match ban, made a few changes to Napoli’s line-up against Parma, resting key players and tweaking the tactics for a challenging match.
The pace was slow, with VAR ruling out an early Napoli goal for offside and Parma mainly defending. Napoli had the ball more often, but they weren’t that creative with it.
Parma played solid defence, even blocking some of Napoli’s best chances. There were loads of substitutions in the second half, but neither side could get ahead, and the match ended in a draw.
It wasn’t as impressive as Napoli’s last result at San Siro, even though they had great home support.
Injuries and Pressure Shape Napoli’s Future
The third loss in a row is probably the hardest one for Napoli to take. It was a frustrating and tiring 0-0 draw, which could end up being a setback for their Scudetto ambitions.
The only way to see if Napoli can get through this is to see if the injured players are back in action.
Frank Anguissa should be the first of the absentees to get back. There’s a catch, though. He’s feeling a bit sore, so his recovery might take a bit longer.
