Which Serie A Manager Will Be Sacked Next? Juventus Part Ways With Igor Tudor and Stefano Pioli On Thin Ice

Juventus have parted ways with Igor Tudor after a run of poor results and Stefano Pioli is in serious danger of losing his place as Fiorentina manager, but who will be sacked next in Serie A?

Why Did Juventus Sack Igor Tudor?

Igor Tudor has been made surplus to requirements by Juventus after the Bianconeri suffered a 1-0 defeat to Lazio in their most recent league outing.

Tudor earned the full-time managerial job with the Bianconeri in June 2025 after guiding Juve to a fourth-place finish on an interim basis in 2024/25.

After the opening three weeks of the Serie A season, Juventus appeared to be back in contention for the Serie A title with wins over Parma, Genoa and Inter Milan.

However, after a thrilling 4-4 stalemate with Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League on September 16th, the Bianconeri have not tasted victory in eight consecutive matches (all competitions).

Losing to Lazio made it three defeats in a row for Juve across all competitions and the Bianconeri have failed to score in four straight matches – highlighting the issues in front of goal.

After a run of poor results, Tudor has now been dismissed and Juventus will now look to appoint a new manager as the 37-time League winners sit eighth in the table.

Juventus’ performances in Europe were also an issue for Tudor, as the Turin-based side are yet to find a win in the Champions League and were narrowly beaten by Real Madrid in their latest fixture.

Which Serie A Manager Will Be Sacked Next?

Paolo Zanetti (Hellas Verona)

Paolo Zanetti was appointed in June 2024 and managed to maintain his position after finishing 14th in Serie A last season – but has struggled to compete in his second campaign.

Verona are winless from their opening eight league matches in the 2025/26 season, picking up five points and scoring just four goals in Serie A so far.

Zanetti’s side were held to a 2-2 stalemate by Cagliari in their latest league encounter, ending a run of four straight matches without a goal across all competitions.

The pressure on the Hellas Verona manager could reach its breaking point towards the end of 2026, as the Serie A side face Como and Inter Milan in their next league fixtures.

Stefano Pioli (Fiorentina)

Another man that is at huge risk of losing his job in Serie A this season is Fiorentina boss, Stefano Pioli, as La Viola are yet to win in Italy’s top division and sit 18th in the table.

Fiorentina rescued a point in their last Serie A clash against a 10-men Bologna, as Moise Kean converted a 94th minute penalty to spare Pioli’s blushes.

The Florence-based side have picked up just four points from eight league matches, scoring just seven goals and conceding 12 – showing issues at both ends of the pitch.

Pioli recently enjoyed a career landmark in Italy, as the Fiorentina manager reached 500 matches in Serie A, but has failed to meet expectations in Florence so far.

One saving grace for the Italian coach has been performances in Europe so far, as Fiorentina qualified for the Europa Conference League and won both of their matches so far.

Things do not get any easier for La Viola in Serie A, as Stefano Pioli’s side travel to the San Siro on October 19th and face an Inter Milan side that will be looking to bounce back from a 3-1 defeat to Napoli.

Patrick Vieira (Genoa)

Genoa currently sit bottom of Serie A and just like Pioli, Patrick Vieira is yet to win a league match this season – picking up three points from eight matches.

In fact, Genoa’s only win of the season came in a 3-1 victory over Serie B side, Empoli, in the Coppa Italia third round and Patrick Vieira’s side will face Atalanta in the Ro16.

Vieira’s grip on the managerial role with Genoa is slipping away and the Frenchman could be dismissed if his side do not pick up a victory over Cremonese in their next league fixture.

Only Parma have scored less goals than Genoa this season, with Patrick Vieira’s side scoring just four goals in Serie A, while conceding 11 and keeping two clean sheets.
