Pisa January Signings Set the Tone
Winter usually slows things down. Not in Pisa.
The Tuscan club are among the most active clubs of the window and have already confirmed multiple reinforcements.
Yesterday, Pisa confirmed the signing of Rafiu Durosinmi from Viktoria Plzen. The Czech club has confirmed this.
Rafiu Durosinmi joined Viktoria in 2023 from Karviná. He played a total of 86 games in the red and blue jersey, scoring 35 goals and recording 10 assists.
The clubs have decided not to say how much the transfer fee was or any of the other details.
“I am very grateful to Viktoria. I had a wonderful time here, got a taste of big-time football, and played in so many great matches, including those on the European stage, which I will never forget,” said Rafiu Durosinmi.
Joao Pedro and Loyola Complete Pisa’s Plan to Avoid Relegation
Pisa has been on a roll recently, finalising two new signings overnight.
The Nerazzurri club has secured Joao Pedro’s return to Italy. After bagging 13 goals in 18 games in Mexico with Atlético San Luis, the Italian-Brazilian footballer has pretty much nailed his transfer to the club coached by Alberto Gilardino.
The Tuscan club, which is paying the €3 million release clause, has agreed a one-and-a-half-year contract with the 29-year-old footballer, valid until 30 June 2027.
Felipe Loyola is almost a done deal from Independiente. The Chilean midfielder, born in 2000, plays in Argentina for Independiente and is a very versatile midfielder who can also play in defence.
Pisa have signed him on loan for €1.2 million, plus an obligation to buy linked to appearances for €5.5 million. The total cost for 70% of his registration rights is €6.7 million, with the remaining 30% to be purchased later for €4.5 million.
Loyola could be heading to Italy as early as tomorrow, with the teams working on the last of the paperwork so the player can get started on his new adventure this week.
The 25-year-old midfielder, who’s got a Spanish passport, has signed a contract that’ll run until 30 June 2029, with an option for the following season.
