Fiorentina Pursue Adama Traore Deal
The Serie A side are looking to make some statement signings in the January window to move out of the relegation zone and Adama Traore is the latest star to be added to Fiorentina’s shortlist.
Fulham are reportedly looking to sell the Spaniard this month, as Traore has been a disappointing addition since joining the Cottagers for free in August 2023.
The former Barcelona star has made just one start in the Premier League this season and Traore has only accumulated 35 minutes in Fulham’s last 12 league matches.
Marco Silva has struggled to get the best out of the Spaniard and the Premier League side are hoping to find a potential suitor before Traore’s deal expires at the end of the season.
Fiorentina are among the list of interested clubs from across Europe, but La Viola are aware that Traore will be available for free in the summer.
With under six-months remaining on his current deal, Traore is now allowed to enter pre-contract negotiations under the Bosman Rule and this would see the 29-year-old agree a move in January before completing the switch in the summer.
Paolo Vanoli has already been in contact with another struggling Premier League star, as Fiorentina close in on a loan deal for Jack Harrison and the Italian side could complete a similar deal for Traore.
Fulham are willing to consider a loan with a mandatory buy-clause, however, Marco Silva is also contemplating a potential swap deal with Fiorentina.
Fulham Consider Swap Deal For Fiorentina Star
The Premier League side are willing to consider offers at around €8million for Traore this month, but there is another deal that appears to be more tempting for Fulham.
According to reports, Marco Silva is a huge admirer of Fiorentina star Dodo and this intrigue could see the Brazilian make a move to the English capital – while Traore heads to Florence.
Dodo has a far larger price tag than Traore, meaning Fulham would need to make a player plus cash move for the Fiorentina defender.
The 27-year-old has been linked with a move away from Florence, but Vanoli is keen on offering Dodo a new contract to fend off interest from the likes of Juventus and Fulham.
His current deal is set to expire at the end of the 2026/27 campaign, which means his value will only decrease if a new deal is not agreed.
