Radu Dragusin Back On AC Milan’s Shortlist With Loan Deal Mooted

Radu Dragusin has re-emerged as a target for AC Milan who are considering a loan offer for the Tottenham defender. 

Corriere dello Sport reports that Milan are actively seeking to sign a center-half in the last week of the January transfer window.

Dragusin has been in the Rossoneri’s cross-hairs for the last three weeks and Max Allegri is keen to strike a deal with the Europa League winners.

Having recently returned from a long-term injury, the former Genoa star has only managed six Premier League minutes in 2025-26 and Spurs are happy to let Dragusin leave.

AC Milan targeted Radu Dragusin earlier this month and although their interest cooled slightly, the Rossoneri now wants to bring him back to Serie A.

Plucking a center-back has been prioritized since Milan signed Niclas Fullkrug to help beef up the attack. The German international signed on an initial loan deal.

As it stands, Fullkrug is AC’s only signing in January. Therefore, getting a deal done for Dragusin is considered imperative by the board.

Especially as the Romanian will be a cost-effective option who also has Serie A experience. Ideally, the Diavolo want to bring him to the San Siro on loan and include an option/obligation to buy at the end of the season.

It’s understood that would suit Tottenham. The Premier League strugglers are in the market for new defensive recruits which would help provide cover.

Unsurprisingly, AC Milan face plenty of competition for Radu Dragusin. It was previously reported that Dragusin preferred Roma but the Giallorossi haven’t yet advanced with a potential deal.

Dragusin’s entourage has spoken directly with the Serie A title-chasers but negotiations have cooled. Hence why Milan believes they have a good chance of signing the 23-year-old.

Although new Fiorentina sporting director Fabio Paratici doesn’t start his role until February, he was interested in bringing Dragusin to Florence. Especially as he knows him well via Tottenham.

Elsewhere, the likes of Napoli and Juventus are also keeping an eye on developments. Similar to their league rivals, adding defensive reinforcements is considered a priority.

In the Premier League, Nottingham Forest and West Ham are also keen. Both sides are battling relegation and want a new center-back for the second-half of the season.

Nonetheless, an emotional return to Italy’s elite is just what may sway it in the Rossoneri’s favor. Even more so as Dragusin would entertain plenty of minutes and can play a key role in Milan’s title run-in.
