Rasmus Hojlund In Line For Big Napoli Pay Rise After Impressing In Serie A
The striker has hit the ground running since joining from Manchester United.
Napoli striker Rasmus Hojlund is expected to bag himself a hefty pay rise after scoring twice against Juventus.
Rasmus Hojlund Set For Salary Bonuses
Hojlund, who moved to Naples on loan from Manchester United during the summer, brought an end to his eight-game goal drought and secured all three points with a superb brace.
In doing so, the Dane took his tally to six goals in all competitions and, having fired I Partenopei to the top of Serie A, is clearly enjoying his new chapter in Italy.
Napoli paid a €6million (£5.2m) loan fee to secure him an escape route from his Old Trafford nightmare, while a permanent clause worth €44m (£38.4m) was also included in the deal.
Hojlund’s switch will become an obligation should Antonio Conte’s side qualify for the Champions League.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Hojlund will be rewarded imminently for his good form.
There are three bonuses included in his contract, and the amount of goal contributions he racks up over the course of the season will determine how much his salary increases.
He is currently on a fixed wage of almost €9m (£7.8m) gross per season, but this total could reach almost €10m.
Hojlund will reportedly have to reach 10 contributions to earn almost €150,000 (£131,100) more. There are also two more tiers, allowing him to earn approximately €200,000 or €300,000 should he reach 20 or 30 contributions.

Hojlund’s chapter at United appears to have already come to an end, especially with Napoli widely expected to seal a spot in next season’s Champions League. Already, he appears to be looking ahead to his long-term future.
In an obvious hint toward his likely – and preferred – destination, he told DAZN after his heroics against Juventus: “Next season, I’ll give my interviews in Italian.”
The 22-year-old ace scored 16 goals in his debut campaign at Old Trafford, but netted just 10 in the following season before leaving. He looks transformed in Italy, though, and Conte’s advice has helped him settle in Italy.
“Sometimes as a striker you don’t score and I try to help the team in different sorts of ways,” Hojlund added.
“I know how important it is for the manager to hold up the ball, to put the game a little bit higher, also work hard on the pressing and keep the team compact.
“I scored two goals tonight, but it’s all down to my teammates, the manager and his staff.”
