Roma Expect Raspadori Decision Today After Atletico Madrid Bombshell

Roma are reportedly expecting Giacomo Raspadori to give a response imminently after his latest Atletico Madrid blow.
Atletico message ‘changes everything’ for Raspadori as Roma circle
Speculation between Roma and Raspadori has been doing the rounds in recent weeks due to his lack of minutes at Atletico.
Even though the Italy international only joined from Napoli last summer, life hasn’t been easy for him on the pitch.
Raspadori was an unused substitute in Sunday’s La Liga draw at Real Sociedad, which ‘changes everything’.
Gazzetta dello Sport claims the 25-year-old has been left with a clear choice: accept a transfer now or remain on the fringes in Madrid.
According to the report, Raspadori was unsure about a January move up as late as Sunday morning.
However, the ‘cold shower’ of his stint on the bench at San Sebastian could reportedly have convinced him that he needs to move.
Roma are apparently favourites for Raspadori, with an Atletico agreement worth under €21m in total and including a buy option.
The report also claims Napoli – who sold Raspadori to Atletico – have monitored the situation from a distance.
However, they would apparently face less favourable conditions, namely a deal with the exact figures as the one six months ago.
Lazio are reportedly eyeing Raspadori too, as they look to bring in a replacement for the West Ham-bound Taty Castellanos.
Zirkzee still on track as exits considered
Roma are also working on Joshua Zirkzee, with no reported setbacks. Sporting director Ricky Massara seems confident a deal can be completed.
Zirkzee provided an assist after coming on for Manchester United in their draw at Leeds United, a reminder of the creative edge Roma want.
Incoming forwards may require space in the squad, with Artem Dovbyk and Evan Ferguson among those under scrutiny.
The pair have managed only four league goals between them. At least one could leave to make room in Gian Piero Gasperini’s squad.
Roma have registered 20 league goals along with six blanks in 18 matches and a top scorer on five goals.
With that in mind, attacking reinforcements are a must as the Giallorossi look to return to the top four.
