Brooke Norton-Cuffy is still a target for Inter and Genoa may have just done the Nerazzurri a big favour.
Speculation linking Norton-Cuffy and Inter went on for the majority of the January transfer window.
But while Inter have failed to get their hands on the English youngster, they’re still very much in the picture.

Brooke Norton-Cuffy is not only a target for Inter. The likes of Juventus and Napoli have also been circling.
There has also been interest from the English Premier League, with Newcastle United making a late bid on deadline day.
According to Nicolo Schira, Newcastle made a €15m bid for Norton-Cuffy, but Genoa turned their offer down.
Genoa want at least €20m to sell the right-back, added the Italian transfer expert.

Fellow English club Everton were also eyeing Norton-Cuffy before the deadline.

Inter’s original plan was reportedly to bring back Ivan Perisic, but PSV Eindhoven have not been willing to let him go.
The Nerazzurri explored ways to make it happen, including the idea of Perisic separating from PSV first, but the Dutch club held firm.
With that route proving difficult, attention has shifted towards alternatives who can play wide, run all day, and offer cover in a wing-back system.
Genoa turning down Newcastle keeps Norton-Cuffy on the Serie A market, rather than letting the Premier League remove him from the equation completely.
What Inter see in Brooke Norton-Cuffy
Brooke Norton-Cuffy moved to Genoa in a permanent deal from Arsenal in 2024 and has developed into a regular starter in Italy.
He is quick, aggressive in duels, and comfortable pushing high up the pitch, which fits a role that asks full-backs to attack and defend constantly.
In a recent interview, he credited former Genoa coach Patrick Vieira with helping him improve the defensive side of his game.
Genoa rejecting €15m suggests they believe his value will rise further — or that they simply cannot afford to lose him late on.
Either way, Inter’s interest remains alive, and it is largely because Genoa refused to sell at the first serious knock.
