Milan Could Sign One Of ‘Ligue 1’s Brightest Talents’ For Just €25m

Milan have set their sights on Angers rising star Sidiki Cherif, according to reports.
Sidiki Cherif could cost Milan between €25m and €30m
Milan have been heavily linked with numerous strikers ahead of the January transfer window.
Questions have been asked of current Rossoneri forward Santiago Gimenez and Christopher Nkunku.
Both have failed to live up to expectations, resulting in them being linked with a move away.
Names linked with Milan include Robert Lewandowski, Andrea Pinamonti, Nicklas Fullkrug and Lorenzo Lucca.
A big club like the Rossoneri will also always be on the lookout for future talents, and Cherif is certainly in that ballpark.
Cherif is making a real name for himself in France’s top league, with three goals in 15 appearances for Angers.
As a result, Italian reports claim Geoffrey Moncada has added Cherif to his shortlist.

Indeed, Milan scouts have reportedly been spotted at Angers matches of late.
The 18-year-old has been described as a fast striker who is skilled at attacking deep.
However, Milan could be up against a host of Bundesliga clubs in pursuit of Cherif.
Hamburg, Borussia Monchengladbach, Eintracht Frankfurt, and Stuttgart are already tracking him.
In terms of price tag, Cherif boasts a value between €25 and €30 million, as reported by Tuttosport.
The Rossoneri are aiming to secure him for the summer, according to Tuttomercatoweb.

In October, transfer expert Rudy Galetti spoke highly of Cherif in his Substack column.
He described the Milan target as “one of Ligue 1’s brightest young talents” and “one of the most exciting young forwards in Ligue 1.”
Scouts have reportedly been impressed by his mix of pace, power and technical quality, while his confidence in one-v-one situations stands out for a player his age.

One eye-catching metric underlines that flair: as of October, he ranked third among U19 players in Europe’s top five leagues for dribbles per 100 touches.
This put him behind only Barcelona star Lamine Yamal at the time.
All in all, Cherif is an incredibly exciting talent and it’ll be interesting to see how he continues to develop.
