Inter Vicario Goalkeeper Is the Real Target
Inter are planning ahead. The goalkeeper position is under review, and while Yann Sommer remains the confirmed starter, he doesn’t fully match Christian Chivu’s long-term vision.
That’s where the Inter Vicario goalkeeper plan comes in.
The groundwork for signing Vicario is pretty solid.
Even Walter Zenga, who was interviewed by Sky Sports, admitted that he’d prefer a young Italian with some experience, like Guglielmo Vicario or Marco Carnesecchi.
Tottenham fans have been criticizing their goalkeeper ever since he first joined the team, and that might make the former Empoli goalkeeper want to leave England and go back to Italy as a star.
Why Martínez Is Not in Inter’s Plans
There have been rumors recently that Emiliano Martinez might be going to Inter.
But the name at the top of Inter’s wish list for the goalkeeper of the future does come from the Premier League. But not from Aston Villa.
No negotiations are in place between the Nerazzurri and the Villans.
The Argentine goalkeeper isn’t involved in the rumors that have been floating around lately.
Martinez will probably leave Unai Emery’s team next summer, but he’ll definitely not be moving to Milan. At least not to Inter.
Sommer Confirmed, But the Future Is Open
Inter’s top pick, the name they’ve been keeping an eye on for months, not just weeks, is Guglielmo Vicario.
The former Empoli player is seen as the perfect fit for the post-Sommer era. Age (29 compared to Dibu’s 33) and drive make the difference.
Before moving to Tottenham, Vicario was very close to joining Inter.
He was convinced by how quickly the English club decided to make the deal official.
Vicario thinks the Premier League is the best league in the world, but he’d be happy to go back to Italy if Inter called.
The next few months will be key, but the Nerazzurri management’s ideas are clear. And they haven’t even mentioned Dibu Martinez’s name.
