Alexsandro Amorim Genoa: Deal Completed
Genoa have made their move. And Alexsandro Amorim Genoa is now a done deal.
Following Diego Lopez’s blitz in Portugal, the Rossoblù club finalized the purchase of Alexsandro Amorim, born in 2005, from Alverca.
Amorim is a player who will bring sparkle to the center of the pitch.
He scored two goals in 21 appearances in the first half of the season in the Portuguese league and cup competitions.
Amorim arrived in Genoa a few hours ago and has just begun his medical examinations at the Casa della Salute in western Genoa.
After completing the routine clinical tests, he will sign the contract and then fly to Rome, where Daniele De Rossi‘s team is preparing for Friday’s match against Lazio at the Acqua Acetosa.
The deal was formalized in the last few hours, with Amorim set to rebuild the Grifone’s midfield.
The Villa Rostan club has purchased him outright for a figure of around €10 million. A fixed fee (€8 million) and bonuses (€2 million).
Who Is Genoa’s New Midfield Spark
A central midfielder with good footwork, he came up through the youth ranks at Fortaleza.
There, he made his debut on April 27, 2023, at the age of 18, in a 2-0 Brazilian Cup win against Aguia de Marabà.
In the 2025 season, Athletic, a club playing in the Brazilian second division, loaned him. He made a total of 27 appearances and scored three goals.
Last summer, he made a permanent move to Alverca, a club that plays in the Portuguese first division.
He immediately became a starter for the Portuguese team.
Amorim played 21 goals in the league, Portuguese Cup, and League Cup in his first six months, with two goals.
There are even chances he will be called up in the squad who will face Lazio, in Rome, on Friday.
