Harvey Elliott has emerged as a summer transfer target for Cesc Fabregas’ Como side, FootItalia can exclusively reveal.

Elliott is set to leave Liverpool at the end of the season and Fabregas is ready to give the attacking midfielder a fresh start in Serie A.

The 2010 FIFA World Cup winner is on the lookout for a Nico Paz replacement. A return to LaLiga is on the cards for the Argentine ace and Fabregas believes Elliott has the profile to fit the Lariani’s project.

Harvey Elliott Transfer News Reveals Como Interest

In the summer, Inter Milan and Juventus pursued Harvey Elliott but opted for other targets instead. Even Fiorentina wanted Elliott but again, a deal never came to fruition.

Over the winter transfer window, Serie A interest in Elliott re-emerged owing to his loan-limbo with Aston Villa. The 22-year-old is enduring something of a turbulent temporary spell with Unai Emery’s side.

The terms of his move mean that Villa will have to shell out €40million to sign him permanently. If the European Championship Under-21 star plays ten games or more in all competitions, that is.

Emery has already stated that he doesn’t have a future at Villa Park and is unlikely to feature that often until the end of the campaign. That despite coming on as a sub in the recent loss to Brentford. His seventh outing overall.

And that is where Como comes in. The ambitious Italians have been keeping track of Elliott’s situation. And with his days seemingly numbered in the Midlands and on Merseyside, Cesc Fabregas is ready to make his move.

Will Nico Paz Quit Como This Summer?

It’s almost a certainty that Real Madrid will exercise Nico Paz’s buyback clause this summer. In fact, it’s already reported that Paz has agreed terms with Madrid. Hence why Cesc Fabregas wants to fill the void.

FootItalia sources confirmed that Harvey Elliott is Fabregas’ No 1 choice to replace Paz. However, he will face stiff competition from a number of English Premier League sides for Elliott’s signature.

But something of which can tilt the scales in Fabregas’ favor is the lure of Italian soccer. Paz is a prime example of a modern-day attacking midfielder who has flourished in Italy’s elite.

Something of which Elliott will be keen to emulate. Even more so as he has aspirations to make major tournament squads for the Three Lions senior team.

Not only that, Elliott will have the chance to play with some of the best young players in Europe. And with the chance to learn under Fabregas, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Elliott help the European hopefuls to major honors.
