Nottingham Forest Knock On Davide Frattesi Door Once Again As Dan Ndoye ‘Major’ Inter Target
It remains to be seen whether Nottingham Forest could use Dan Ndoye as a makeweight to sign Davide Frattesi from Inter.
Davide Frattesi has re-emerged as a target for Nottingham Forest as reports say they have “knocked” again in recent hours.
Speculation linking Forest and Frattesi, whose Inter future has looked uncertain for a while, goes back to the start of the January transfer window.
However, the Italy international has been looking sharper physically of late, and his on-pitch attitude has improved too.
Frattesi impressed off the bench in Inter’s 2-0 Champions League win over Borussia Dortmund en route to the last-16 playoffs.
Davide Frattesi: Nottingham Forest attempting late swoop for Inter midfielder
Davide Frattesi seems to be finding his rhythm at Inter, but this hasn’t allayed transfer speculation ahead of the January deadline.
In their latest YouTube video, Fabrizio Romano and Matteo Moretto claimed that Nottingham Forest have come knocking once again.
“I wouldn’t say the market around Frattesi is closed between now and the end of the window,” said Moretto.
“In the last few hours, Nottingham Forest have come back in. They’ve asked again and knocked on the door, both with Frattesi and with Inter.
“So Forest remain active and still a possibility. There are other options too, but it depends on whether Inter truly decide to let him go.
“Right now Frattesi is carving out a role inside the squad, so we have to see if Inter will eventually give the green light. We’ll keep following these developments.”
There has also been speculation involving Frattesi and Juventus over the past few weeks.
Davide Frattesi to Nottingham Forest: Could Dan Ndoye go the other way?
Davide Frattesi is obviously a big target for Nottingham Forest, but Inter also like a player who is on the English Premier League club’s books.
Dan Ndoye is a “major target” for Nerazzurri sporting director Piero Ausilio, claimed Fabrizio Romano.
And while Forest swiftly shut the door on the prospect of Ndoye leaving, Romano suggested that Inter fans should watch this space.
“As you said, the player’s side matters too. It’s not only club-to-club talks,” said Romano.
“This Inter-Nottingham Forest idea started at the beginning of January, with Inter also trying to include Dan Ndoye in the operation.
“I always say it: Ndoye is a major target for Piero Ausilio, but Forest shut that down straight away. We’ll see if anything changes.”
With the January transfer window shutting on February 2, it remains to be seen whether Forest could soften their stance on Ndoye as they look to land Frattesi.
